Norwegian Course Intermediate Level B1 is suitable for those who already know some Norwegian and have language skills equivalent to A2. At the B1 level, you will feel more confident in common language situations and be able to participate spontaneously in everyday conversations. You will expand your vocabulary, achieve better fluency in communication, and become more confident in using more advanced sentence structures in both speaking and writing.
The Intermediate B1 level consists of two parts.
What You Will Learn
At this level, you will build on the knowledge you acquired in previous Norwegian courses.
- Understanding the main points in clear standard texts and speech about familiar topics that you often encounter in work, school, leisure, etc.
- Writing simple, coherent texts about topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
- Describing experiences and events, dreams, hopes, and plans.
- Discussing well-known topics and justifying your opinions.
- Expressing yourself so that you can handle unfamiliar, or even challenging, situations.
These learning objectives apply to the B1 level.
Who Is the Course For?
The Norwegian Course at Intermediate Level B1 is ideal for those who already have a basic understanding of Norwegian, equivalent to A2, and wish to learn more about the Norwegian language and society. It prepares you for the A2-B1 Norwegian test. Unsure of your level? Take our free placement test!
Course Structure
The course includes listening exercises, group work, role-playing, oral exercises and conversations, as well as presentations and homework. It is conducted in a digital classroom twice a week, with 3 teaching hours per session.
Instructors
Our instructors have a strong background in language or pedagogy, and most teach in their native language. They are dedicated to motivating and engaging course participants, creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Learning Materials
We use the textbook "Stein på stein".
Certification
There is no final exam for this course, but you will receive a course certificate with a minimum attendance of 75%.
