Norwegian course for beginners (Level A1)

The Norwegian Beginner A1 course is designed for those who seek a thorough and practical introduction to the language. The goal is to quickly enable you to handle simple everyday situations.

Our communicative teaching method encourages active use of the language in practical situations, with plenty of opportunities for practice and repetition to build confidence in speaking.

What You Will Learn:

• Basic grammar and pronunciation
• Words and phrases to talk about yourself and ask others about themselves
• Navigate typical tourist situations with the necessary vocabulary
• Communication skills such as asking and answering questions, and expressing agreement and disagreement
• Reading simple texts like menus and advertisements

These learning objectives cover the entire A1 level.

Who is the Course For?

The Norwegian Beginner Course is suitable for those with little or no prior knowledge of Norwegian who want a solid foundation for communication in Norwegian-speaking areas, whether as a tourist or in a professional context.

Course Implementation:

The course includes listening exercises, group work, role play, oral exercises and conversations, presentations, and homework. The course is conducted in a digital classroom twice a week, with three teaching hours per session.

Teachers:

Our teachers have a solid background in languages or pedagogy, and most teach their native language. They are dedicated to motivating and engaging course participants, creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Certification:

There is no exam for this course, but you will receive a certificate of completion with a minimum of 75% attendance. After this course, you should be able to take the Norwegian proficiency test (Norskprøven).
